Bill Nye "The Science Guy" is a seasoned veteran of disc sports. He co-founded Cornell University's Ultimate team in the early 1970s and later discovered the world's first permanent disc golf course at Oak Grove Park in Pasadena, a disc throw away from NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. While flying over, under, and around those beautiful Oak trees, Bill got bit by the disc golf bug and has been a passionate recreational disc golfer ever since. Between his decades of disc-throwing experience and his deep background in science, Bill has become exceptionally knowledgeable of and grown a deep love for disc flight.
Bill is also the CEO of The Planetary Society, the leading non-profit space advocacy organization, where the world’s citizens work to advance space exploration and science. As a student at Cornell University, Bill was introduced to the wonders of astronomy in a class taught by Professor Carl Sagan, co-founder of The Planetary Society, which Nye now leads.
Innova is over the moon with pride to announce Bill Nye as our latest Celebrity Ambassador and has partnered with Bill to launch a collaboration with The Planetary Society, where a substantial portion of every disc sale helps to fund The Planetary Society's mission to Explore Worlds, Find Life, and Defend Earth. With every Bill Nye/The Planetary Society disc sold, you are helping to save the planet from destruction. Not a bad cause. Bill and the other 8 billion humans on the planet thank you. Disc golf for the win!
